Large,Medium,and Small

After reading and discussing the book Goldilocks and the Three Bears, we discussed how clothes are different sizes. Using an assortment of clothes, we put them in order from largest to smallest. We then measured the clothes using linking chains, a measuring tape, and a ruler. We also looked at different types of fabric up close with magnifying glasses.

Centers

With the start of a new season and unit, we have new exciting centers! We have been learning about the life cycle of a pumpkin and have been making our own in the play-doh center. Since we are investigating clothing, we have centers where the children can sort buttons and bears by size and color.

Fire Safety

This week we had a fire truck come visit us and learned all about what to do in case of a fire. We discussed stop, drop, and roll as well as calling 911.
