Pre-K December Activities

The children expressed themselves creatively through the visual arts by painting and decorating their very own Christmas tree.  The early childhood years are very important to children’s realizing their creative potential.

Our focus question this week was how can we make music using our voices?  We decided that it would be fun to carol around the campus.  Everyone had a great time and the middle school students provided treats for us!

NOVEMBER PRE-K ACTIVITIES

Our focus question this week was what instruments can we play by hitting, tapping, or shaking them? Here are our answers:

Emmett - “drums”

Charlie - “triangle”

Stella - “rhythm sticks”

James - “symbols”

Emmi Kate - “tambourine”

Our home living center has been turned into a recording studio.

Show & Tell - Letter K

COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT - TOYS FOR TOTS

The children had to sort skittles by color on the turkey, count the skittles and then graph the correct number. Their favorite part was eating the skittles at the end.

We created bracelets to help retell the story of the first Thanksgiving.

WHAT ARE WE THANKFUL FOR?
